Terms of Service

Last updated December 7, 2025

1. Agreement to These Terms

Thank you for using Better Deen ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using our app, website, or any related services (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. What Better Deen Is

Better Deen is a wellness and reflection tool designed to help you track your personal journey, build habits, and view your progress over time.

We do not provide medical, psychological, or other professional healthcare services. Better Deen is meant to support you, not replace professional care.

3. Who Can Use Better Deen

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Have the legal power to agree to these Terms in your place of residence
  • Use the Services only for personal, lawful purposes

If you use the Services on behalf of someone else, you confirm you're allowed to do so and that they also accept these Terms.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

You may need an account to use some or all features. You may sign in using third-party login options (for example, Google).

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping access to your account safe (for example, securing your device and login method)
  • All activity that happens under your account

If you think someone else has accessed your account, please let us know at info@betterdeen.com.

5. Acceptable Use

We want Better Deen to be a safe, respectful space. You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for anything illegal or harmful
  • Try to disrupt, hack, or overload the Services
  • Try to access parts of the system you are not allowed to access
  • Share or sell your account
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems to access the Services (unless we give written permission)
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to copy the underlying software in a way that violates applicable law

We may take action (including limiting or ending access) if we reasonably believe someone is misusing the Services.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our content

The Services, including text, graphics, logos, designs, and software, are owned or licensed by Better Deen and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You are given a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use, as long as you follow these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our permission, except where the law allows you to do so.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you enter into Better Deen (for example, notes, goals, or check-ins).

By using the Services, you give us a limited license to use that content only as needed to operate, improve, and provide the Services (for example, storing it, backing it up, and displaying it to you in the app).

We do not claim ownership over your personal journey.

7. Wellness and No Professional Advice

Better Deen is a tool to support reflection, habits, and general wellness. It is not:

  • Medical advice
  • Mental health treatment
  • Professional counseling, therapy, or religious rulings
  • A substitute for seeing a qualified professional

Always seek the advice of a doctor, mental health professional, or other qualified provider with any questions about your health or well-being. Never delay or ignore professional advice because of something you see in Better Deen. You are responsible for how you use the information and tools provided by the Services.

8. Payments (If Applicable)

Better Deen may offer free and paid features, including subscriptions or one-time purchases.

If you purchase through an app store (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), the store's own terms, billing, and refund rules apply.

Prices, plans, and features may change over time. Where required, we will let you know about changes that affect your subscription.

If you have questions about charges or billing, you can reach us at info@betterdeen.com, but in many cases you may need to work directly with the app store.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Better Deen running smoothly, but:

  • We do not guarantee the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
  • We may change, pause, or stop some features or the entire Service (for example, for maintenance, updates, or other reasons).
  • We may update the app or website from time to time to improve performance or add/remove features.

Where reasonable, we'll try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but sometimes changes or downtime will happen.

10. Third-Party Services, Analytics and Ads

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party tools and services (for example, login providers, analytics, advertising partners, email services, or app stores).

We don't control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or actions.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

For details on how we handle data, analytics, and advertising, please see our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we:

  • Do not promise that the Services will be error-free, secure, or available at all times
  • Do not guarantee any particular results, outcomes, or improvements in your wellness, habits, or life
  • Do not make warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement

You use the Services at your own discretion and risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Better Deen and its owners, employees, and partners will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose, or a reasonable equivalent where that is not applicable.

Some places do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local law.

13. Indemnity

If you use the Services in a way that causes us legal or financial trouble (for example, by violating these Terms or the law), you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Better Deen from any claims, losses, or expenses that result.

We will try to notify you of any such claim if we can do so reasonably.

14. Ending or Suspending Use

You can stop using Better Deen at any time. You may also request to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may limit or end your access to the Services if we reasonably believe:

  • You have seriously or repeatedly violated these Terms or the law
  • Your use poses a risk to us, the Services, or other users

Where reasonable, we'll try to let you know about any suspension or termination. Even after your access ends, certain sections of these Terms (like intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will still apply.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, in the app or by email) where appropriate. By continuing to use the Services after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the state or region where Better Deen is established or operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under your local laws, and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be waived under those laws.
